Talks held between premiers of DPRK and China
  Talks were held at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on the 11th between Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Li Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
  Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Kim Song Nam, Alternate Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Director of the International Department of the Party Central Committee, Jong Myong Su, Vice-Premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, and other officials concerned.
  Present there from the opposite side were Wu Zhenglong, State Councilor and Secretary General of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Liu Haixing, Head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and other members of the Chinese party and government delegation.
  Pak Thae Song said the Chinese party and government delegation's visit to the DPRK serves as an important occasion in further consolidating and developing the relations of friendship between the two countries, and expressed the invariable stand of the WPK and the DPRK government to steadily open up a new phase of friendship.
  He fully supported the policy and stand of the Chinese party and government to resolutely safeguard their core interests including the problem of Taiwan and advance the socialist cause, and stressed that the DPRK will jointly oppose hegemonic practices and defend just international order and peace together with the Chinese comrades.
  Li Qiang warmly congratulated the Korean people once again on the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK on behalf of the Communist Party of China, the government of the People's Republic of China and its people and said it is the firm stand of the Chinese party and government to successfully consolidate, defend and develop the traditional China-DPRK friendly relations no matter how the international situation may change.
  He expressed the belief that China and the DPRK will actively promote the socialist cause of the two countries and support and encourage each other on the multilateral arena to realize the international fairness and justice.
  The talks discussed issues for strengthening strategic communication between the two parties and two countries and promoting exchange and cooperation in all fields true to the noble intention of the top leaders of the DPRK and China.
  The talks proceeded in a comradely and friendly atmosphere.
  That day, the Central Committee of the WPK and the government of the DPRK gave a reception in honour of the Chinese party and government delegation.
