DPRK Premier Pak Thae Song meets Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of CC, CPC and President of PRC
Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political
Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and
Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the
Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on an official visit to the People's Republic of China leading the party and government delegation of the DPRK, met Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China, at the Great Hall of the People on the afternoon of the 10th.
He courteously conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the respected ComradeKim Jong Un to Comrade Xi Jinping.
Comrade Xi Jinping expressed deep thanks for it and asked him to convey his warmest comradely greetings and best wishes to ComradeKim Jong Un .
Pak Thae Song said the events on the occasion of the anniversary of the conclusion of the treaty were held with splendour this year amid the deep concern of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries of the DPRK and China, powerfully demonstrating the strategic character of the DPRK-China friendship once again. And he expressed a will to make every possible effort to actively promote the revolutionary unity, co-prosperity, development and socialist cause of the two countries at a new high stage suited to the requirements of the new era in the future, too.
Xi Jinping said the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between China and the DPRK laid an important political and legal foundation in consolidating the militant friendship sealed with blood by the peoples of the two countries, and expressed his willingness to create a favourable environment for advancing along the road of socialism by strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries and firmly defending their sovereignty, security and development interests.
Present on the occasion were Kim Song Nam, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and other major members of the DPRK party and government delegation, Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and officials concerned.
