V-Day celebrated in DPRK
  The people across the country celebrated the significant V-Day--July 27.
  Officials, working people, service personnel of the People's Army, youth and students visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are laid in state, and their mosaic murals in all parts of the country, paying boundless respects to them.
  Many people called at the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum comprehensively showing the history of victory of Juche Korea.
  Officials, working people, youth and students throughout the country called on war veterans and persons of wartime merits to congratulate the revolutionary seniors enjoying the priceless honour and happiness of life under the loving care of the Workers' Party of Korea.
  Meetings between war veterans and school youth and children were held in North Phyongan, South Hwanghae, North Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces.
  Colourful performances were given in Pyongyang and major places of provinces to celebrate the V-Day.
  Public catering and welfare service amenities across the country rendered special services to war veterans and persons of wartime merits. Working people and schoolchildren enjoyed themselves at the Central Zoo, the Munsu Water Park and other cultural recreation resorts.
