Talks between DPRK and Chinese Premiers held

Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, had talks with Li Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the 11th.
He said the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the DPRK and China is a firm political and legal guarantee for powerfully promoting the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and added that the complex international political situation demands the two parties and two countries of the DPRK and China continue to give full play to the spirit of the treaty with unity, cooperation and defence of common interests as the core for the victorious advance of the socialist cause.
Saying that today the DPRK-China friendly relations have been put on a new high under the direct concern and wise leadership of ComradeKim Jong Un and Comrade Xi Jinping, he expressed a will to make positive efforts to constantly strengthen and develop friendship and unity between the DPRK and China true to the noble intentions of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries.
Li Qiang said China and the DPRK are neighbouring countries which share destiny and defend and help each other, and continued:
Comrade General Secretary Xi Jinping paid a state visit to the DPRK and made an important common understanding of the issue on intensifying the China-DPRK relations and provided a strategic guideline for it together with Comrade General SecretaryKim Jong Un .
It is a consistent and steadfast policy of the Chinese party and government to wonderfully defend, consolidate and develop the China-DPRK relations, Li Qiang said and expressed the readiness to keep maintaining the spirit of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between China and the DPRK to make close high-level visits and expand and develop mutual political confidence and practical cooperation and thus render active services to the improvement of the well-being of the two peoples and the peaceful development of the region and the rest of the world.
Discussed at the talks were some issues on expanding and developing exchanges and cooperation in different fields according to the agreement made by the top leaders of the DPRK and China at the historic meeting in Pyongyang.
The talks proceeded in a comradely and friendly atmosphere.
Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Kim Song Nam, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and other major members of the DPRK party and government delegation and from the Chinese side were Wu Zhenglong, Member and Secretary General of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, and other officials of the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
That day, Chinese Premier Li Qiang gave a reception in honour of the DPRK party and government delegation.
