Sci-tech activities brisk in Nampho
  The city of Nampho is conducting brisk sci-tech activities for the economic development and the improvement of the people's living.
  The City Commission of Science and Technology worked out a realistic plan of sci-tech development for the independent and multi-faceted progress of the region and the improvement of the people's welfare and is intensifying the guidance over its implementation.
  The City Industrial Technology Institute is expanding successes in the research for using the slag from the iron works as raw materials of non-roasting cement. A number of units in the city including the Nampho University of Education and the Onchon County Commission of Science and Technology are making positive researches for fully solving the feed problem of domestic animals in keeping with the characteristics of the city with limited area under cultivation and for turning out good-quality products by relying on the locally-available raw-material resources.
  On the other hand, the city is also achieving successes in strengthening material and technical foundations of raw material bases which are essential in the development of the regional industry.
