Officials and working people in South Phyongan Province are creating the forest of economic value properly so as to implement the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy".
The province intensified the organization and guidance for pushing ahead as planned with the creation of oil-bearing forests, forests of paper crops and forests of wild fruit trees in all the cities and counties now that regional-industry factories are under construction, thus creating more than 7,000 hectares of forests of economic value.
The province has established a well-organized forest fire monitoring system and is strengthening the work to protect the valuable forest resources such as the increase and repair of stone barriers and catch pits.
