Big Asset of the Country

On the east coast of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, there is the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area in good harmony with the landscape of the coastal area.
It was inaugurated in June 2025 thanks to the plan of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, and his energetic guidance on several occasions.

One day in July 2024, Comrade Kim Jong Un called at the construction site of the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area.
Looking over the panoramic view of the tourist area stretching along a 4-kilometre coastline, boasting of its unique elegance, he said that the view of Myongsasimni, a scenic spot on the east coast, is really beautiful and exciting.
He noted that more than 4-kilometre-long sandy beach at the seaside is very rare and that he felt refreshed both in body and mind to see the scenery peculiar to the picturesque coastal area.
Feasting his eyes on the full view of the coastal tourist area that day, he proudly said everybody should welcome the fact that such a modern coastal tourist area worthy of pride in the world appeared in the DPRK and it is a big asset of the country. And he affirmed that if a marine park of national value was built in Myongsasimni in the near future, it would win the fame as a pride of Wonsan and a 4-kilometre-long stretch of beach crowded with people.

Thanks to the devoted efforts of Comrade Kim Jong Un for the good of the people, Myongsasimni could present a spectacular view as a 4-kilometre-long stretch of beach crowded with people.
