Greatest Honour of the Young People

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea regards it as the most important of state affairs to attach importance to the youth and puts much effort into the youth affairs.
The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un is opening the heyday of the youth movement with the viewpoint that the Party and the state become strong when the young people are strong.
More than 10 years ago, on January 26, 2012, he sent the youth league an autograph that the prosperous future will be brought earlier by the vigorous footsteps of the young people.
Along with the meaningful autograph, the Korean young people more powerfully demonstrated the might as the main force of promising youngsters.
There is Jonwi Street, a symbol of socialist development and future, at the northern gate to the capital city of Pyongyang. It was built by the Korean young people in a year.

Kim Jong Un gave the young people a huge task of building the street, took part in the groundbreaking ceremony and broke the ground first to signal the start of the project.
On the day of its inauguration ceremony, he met young people who performed feats in the construction and said the victory in the cause of building a powerful socialist country is definite as we have a huge army of hot-blooded young people who are loyal to the call of the motherland and faithful to the society and the collective and devote themselves to the future.
The Korean young people are performing merits also in the construction of the largest-ever-scale modern and comprehensive Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm at the northwestern end of the country.
On February 10, 2025, Kim Jong Un broke the ground first to signal the start of the construction with a grand plan to turn the Wihwa Islet, where only sandy dust floated by the strong river wind, into a socialist paradise where the people would lead a highly civilized and affluent life. And he entrusted the young people with its construction.

That day, he said in his rallying speech that what you will build is a large-scale greenhouse farm, and yet what surpasses it by far is the prestige of our dignified state, a beautiful life of our beloved people and a lofty ideal we are going to achieve.
The Korean young people are devoting all their wisdom and enthusiasm to wonderfully complete the difficult construction project, in which not only different types of vegetable greenhouses, vegetable processing factory and storages but also a vegetable science research centre, trial cultivation greenhouses, hundreds of flats, hostels and neighbourhood-serving amenities should be built simultaneously, as a present to the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Thanks to the laborious devotion of the young people, the area of Wihwa Islet, where the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm is under construction, is now changed into a golden islet with great potentials which can lead the regional development and the improvement of the material and cultural life of the local people.
The Korean young people, who cherished the trust and love of Kim Jong Un as their great honour, are working miracles and performing feats at the army posts, socialist farm fields, deep underground cutting faces and grand construction sites.
Their life shines all the more under the care of Kim Jong Un.
