DPRK Premier makes field survey of different fields
Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of different fields.
He visited the city of Samjiyon and looked round major construction projects including the area of Lake Chon on Mt. Paektu, the area of Mt. Pukphothae, the Samjiyon Airport, the Potnamu Hotel and the Ikkal Hotel which are being promoted in real earnest according to the grand plan of the Party Central Committee to build the Mt. Paektu area wonderfully into a cultural tourist resort to learn about their progress.
He emphasized that the construction headquarters should make a good plan and command the projects skilfully and induce the construction and supervision officials to enhance their responsibility and role so as to thoroughly ensure the quality of structures and push ahead with the projects as scheduled in line with the seasonal conditions.
Going round farms in Pochon and Kapsan counties, he stressed the need to actively apply scientific farming methods suited to the characteristics of the region with high altitude and encourage stockbreeding by using the favourable conditions of the mountainous county.
Acquainting himself on the spot with the actual conditions of the Jenam Coal Mine under the Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex and the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, he touched on boosting the coal and electric power production, increasing the proportion of the work done by machines, lowering the norm of materials consumption per unit of output and further raising the enthusiasm of the producer masses.
The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed issues concerned and took necessary measures.
