Fifth National Sculpture and Industrial Art Festival opens
  The Fifth National Sculpture and Industrial Art Festival opened in celebration of the 79th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
  Displayed at the venue of the festival were more than 350 sculptures and industrial art objects of diverse themes and forms created by sculptors, craftsmen, fans and students across the country.
  The opening ceremony took place at the Pyongyang International House of Culture on the 3rd.
  Present there were Ju Chang Il, Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Myong Chol, Secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials of ministries, national institutions and fine art institutions, creators, working people and youth and students in the city of Pyongyang.
  Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu made an opening address.
  After the ceremony, the participants looked round the venue of the festival.
