Wet copper smeltery inaugurated at Sangnong Mine
  A wet copper smeltery with modern production processes was built at the Sangnong Mine, opening a prospect for revitalizing production of all sorts of rare metals and sulfuric acid.
  Its inaugural ceremony was held on the spot on the 18th.
  It was attended by Yang Sung Ho, Vice-Premier of the Cabinet, Ri Jong Nam, Chief Secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Sik, Chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, employees of the Sangnong Mine, officials of units that contributed to the construction, and teachers and researchers of Kim Chaek University of Technology.
  Yang Sung Ho made an inaugural address.
