First Plenary Meeting of Standing Committee of 15th SPA, DPRK held
  The First Plenary Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was held at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on the 11th.
  The plenary meeting was presided over by Jo Yong Won, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the SPA of the DPRK.
  Present there were Vice-Chairman Kim Hyong Sik, Secretary General Ko Kil Son and other members of the Standing Committee of the SPA.
  Also on hand as observers were officials concerned of the Standing Committee of the SPA, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, ministries and national agencies.
  The plenary meeting brought up for discussion as agenda items the deliberation and adoption of the DPRK Law on Academic Degrees and Titles and the election of judges and people's assessors of the Supreme Court.
  A report was made on the main content of the draft law concerned discussed at the Legislation Committee of the SPA.
  The decree of the Standing Committee of the SPA "On Adopting the DPRK Law on Academic Degrees and Titles" was adopted with unanimous approval at the plenary meeting on the basis of the study and discussion of the draft law presented.
  The plenary meeting elected judges and people's assessors of the Supreme Court of the DPRK.
