Letter to respected Comrade Kim Jong Un from participants in Int'l Conference in Commemoration of 80th Founding Anniversary of Kim Il Sung University
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a letter from the participants in the International Conference in Commemoration of the 80th Founding Anniversary of Kim Il Sung University on September 30.
The letter expressed deep thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for arranging a meaningful meeting so that scholars of different universities in the world and those of Kim Il Sung University can deepen the ties of friendship and further expand exchanges and cooperation in the development of science and technology and education, and for paying meticulous concern to the successful holding of the conference.
It noted that the international conference held under the theme of "Development of Science and Education for Social Progress" served as a significant occasion which made it possible to further strengthen and develop the exchanges and friendly and cooperative relations between universities of different countries in the world and Kim Il Sung University in the efforts to more powerfully promote the progress of human society with the development of science and technology and education.
It pointed out that thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, Kim Il Sung University will add lustre to its dignity and fame as the highest institute of Juche-based science and education and the Korean people will surely win victory in their heroic struggle to build a powerful socialist country where the people's ideal and cherished desire have been realized with success.
The scholars from different countries of the world who participated in the conference came to have a firm common understanding that it is very beneficial to the development of science and technology and the promotion of education for the progress of human society to steadily expand many-sided scientific exchanges and contacts with Kim Il Sung University, it added.
The letter sincerely wished the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un good health for the constant development and prosperity of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the eternal happiness of the Korean people.
