National meeting held to mark May Day
  A national meeting was held at the People's Palace of Culture on Friday to mark the 136th May Day, the international holiday of the workers of the whole world.
  Present at the meeting were Pak Thae Song, Ri Il Hwan, An Kum Chol and other senior officials of the Party and government and officials and working people of ministries and national agencies and institutions and industrial establishments in Pyongyang.
  Invited there were members of the foreign diplomatic missions in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and overseas Koreans staying in the homeland.
  When the meeting was declared open, the national anthem of the DPRK was played.
  Pak Thae Song, Premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, made a report.
  He extended warm congratulations to the working people across the country including workers, agricultural workers and intellectuals celebrating May Day.
  He said it is a great pride and honour of the working people of Juche Korea to powerfully accelerate the prosperity and development of the socialist country true to the idea and leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea.
  He affirmed that the government of the DPRK will as ever make responsible efforts for the rights and interests of the working people, regarding the people-first principle of the WPK as an immutable guideline, and creditably fulfil its mission and role in the building of a just and peaceful new world.
  The meeting ended with the playing of the song "Internationale".
