Mass movement conducted to protect and manage national heritage
Kaesong Municipality is protecting and managing the national heritage through mass movement true to the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on protecting the national heritage.
It set stepwise goals in detail for restoring historic relics and protecting the ecological environment of the scenic spots during the spring season and is intensifying the organizational work.
The Municipal Management Station for the Protection of Cultural Heritage frequently learns about the preservation of historic relics such as the South Gate of Kaesong and Sonjuk Bridge, restores the parts damaged by natural factors to their original state and plants and cultivates flower shrubs of good species to renovate the surroundings.
The Kaesong Agency for National Heritage Conservation is channelling efforts into widely disseminating the traditional culture while actively conducting the work to find out and register the intangible cultural heritage reflecting manners and customs of the Korean people.
