Third Workshop for Chief Secretaries of City and County Committees of WPK held
The Third Workshop for Chief Secretaries of the City and County Committees of the Workers' Party of Korea took place between the 4th and the 6th at the crucial time when the all-people advance started to open up a new phase of development of the revolution in hearty response to the grand fighting program presented by the historic Ninth Congress of the WPK.
The Central Committee of the WPK attached importance to the position and role of the city and county Party committees, political staffs of the regions concerned in realizing the strategy of state building to make the development of regions represent the advance and progress of the state and the ideal aspect of regions show the development of socialism of Korean style, and organized the workshop for the chief secretaries of the city and county Party committees first after the Party Congress.
Present at the workshop were chief secretaries of the city and county Party committee across the country, secretaries of the Party Central Committee, officials of the departments concerned of the provincial Party committees and officials related to the regional Party affairs.
A speech to begin the workshop was made by Kim Jae Ryong, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Secretary and Director of the Organizational Leadership Department of the Party Central Committee.
The workshop heard a report on the work of the chief secretaries of the city and county Party committees for implementing the Party's ideology of attaching importance to cities and counties and line of strengthening them over the past five years after the first workshop for chief secretaries of the city and county Party committees.
Then there were speeches.
