Scientific research units make researches for economic development
The State Academy of Sciences is concentrating efforts on solving the urgent problems in developing science, technology and the economy of the country. In particular, the academy is mobilizing researchers and means to the researches for solving the energy problem. It is also making continued researches for further completing the papermaking method and technology based on domestic raw materials.
The Academy of Agricultural Sciences is making researches for breeding seeds capable of bringing forth high and safe yield despite the unfavourable weather conditions and for developing labour- and cost-saving agricultural sci-tech products.
Scientists at the Light Industry Institute under the Ministry of Light Industry are bringing about good results in carrying out their research projects which are of great importance in implementing the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
