Enlarged plenary meetings of Pyongyang Municipal and provincial committees of WPK held
Enlarged plenary meetings of the Pyongyang Municipal and provincial committees of the Workers' Party of Korea were held to implement the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
They were guided by members of the Presidium and members and alternate members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK.
Present at the meetings were members and alternate members of the provincial Party committees. Also on hand as observers were officials of the Party and government organs and administrative and economic bodies in the regions concerned.
The meetings comprehensively analyzed and summed up the work of the regions concerned for carrying through the crucial tasks presented at the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee last year and discussed and decided on measures to confirm this year's tasks on the basis of the orientation of struggle set forth at the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee and carry them out perfectly.
They recognized that the line and policy of struggle put forward at the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee are a clear action program which makes it possible to scientifically guarantee the perfect attainment of goals of struggle of the Party and expand it widely, which is dynamically advancing toward the overall development of socialism under the idea of believing in the people as in heaven and of single-minded unity and self-reliance.
They also analyzed and reviewed the shortcomings and lessons revealed and drawn in the implementation of the Party decisions of the provincial Party committees last year as well as successes and experiences gained in it.
They mentioned specific tasks and ways for the provincial Party committees, the regional units assisting the leadership of the Party, which are playing an important role in the economic development and the improvement of the people's living, to enhance their functions and activity in every way and thus finish the goals of struggle outlined in the five-year plan with success.
They presented principled issues to be maintained by the provincial Party committees and Party organizations at all levels in actively arousing the Party members and other working people to the implementation of the decisions of the Party Congress while expanding the precious experiences gained through the last year's struggle and strictly overcoming the deviations.
Speeches were made at the meetings.
The speakers made a profound analysis of the last year's work for implementing the Party decisions and expressed their resolve to make an all-out dash for implementing the decisions of the plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee by actively inspiring the masses with their patriotic zeal for revolution and thus glorify this significant year with proud achievements of fulfilling the decisions of the Eighth Party Congress.
There were sectional consultative meetings to confirm detailed goals for the regions and units and work out plans for their attainment on the basis of the important tasks and strategy of struggle set forth by the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee.
Decisions made on the basis of high enthusiasm of the participants and clear practical guarantee were passed with unanimous approval at the plenary meetings.
