Into a Distinctive Spa Holiday Camp
The Onpho Working People's Holiday Camp in Kyongsong County, North Hamgyong Province of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, was well-known to the whole country as it has a famous Onpho spa which is very good for the people's health and treatment.
The holiday camp with a nearly 80-year-long history has been completely face-lifted as a comprehensive cultural and recreational and medical service base.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made great efforts to build the holiday camp with refined architectural beauty of
Korean style and diverse service functions.
In March 2025 he gave field guidance to the project of building the
Onpho Working People’s Holiday Camp.
That day, he learned in detail about the construction on the spot, Lecturer Pak Sol Song at the Korean Revolution Museum said and continued:
"The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said it is necessary to build the Onpho Working People's Holiday Camp well into another distinctive base for
cultural life and an advanced recreation and recuperation establishment without
any slightest defect and clarified one by one some detailed issues of completing the project successfully.
And he said the Onpho Working People's Holiday Camp is another precious asset of the country.
When the holiday camp is completed in the future, many people will visit it and our people will enjoy another peculiar spa culture here before long, he added."
Comrade Kim Jong Un warmly said it
is his intention to build modern holiday resorts and sanatoriums
for the people, which blend well with the beautiful natural scenery, in famous
mountains and scenic spots of the country so that they can fully enjoy the products
of civilization and promote their health thanks to the benefits of the
advantageous socialist policy.
As said above, the Onpho Working People's Holiday Camp was wonderfully built without any flaw thanks to the loving care of Comrade Kim Jong Un.
