Recently, he has completed a new extraction method of Koryo medicinal materials.
He talked about the new extraction method as follows:
"The extraction method of Koryo medicinal materials includes the freezing process. It is the method capable of lowering the production costs of goods and raising the efficacy of Koryo medicines by increasing the extracted volume of their effective ingredients in a short time and reducing the repeated extraction frequency and the extraction time."
The new extraction method was awarded the national invention certificate and the invention application certificate in 2024 and highly appraised at the "National Exhibition of Sci-Tech Successes in the Field of Public Health--2025".
Pharmacist Han Yong started to devise the new extraction method for Koryo medicines some years ago.
The extraction of Koryo medicinal materials is one of the important processes in the production of Koryo medicines and it consumes a lot of electric power.
Han Yong could not neglect the power consumption of pharmaceutical equipment of the hospital.
He decided to solve the problem by himself and explored a new extraction method of his own style.

After his painstaking efforts, he completed the medicinal materials extraction method and system based on freezing treatment. The success in his research won popularity among many experts as it can ensure high extraction rate with less power consumption.
Besides, Han Yong invented the invert sugar production method capable of saving energy and raw materials and the antituberculotic prescription composition method of peculiar style, making a substantial contribution to strengthening the material and technical foundations of the public health services.
