Best Programmer in 2025
At the "National IT Successes Exhibition--2025", three persons who distinguished themselves in the programming contest were selected as the best programmers in 2025.
The best programmer in 2025 in the category of middle school children is Jo Ryong studying in the senior third year of East Pyongyang Middle School No. 1.
"Jo Ryong has received a systematic education in programming since the junior first year.
He is a reliable student with a strong enterprising spirit, few words and persistence. He has a good head for mathematics, in particular, as compared with other students and likes to solve the problems.
Sitting at computer, he thinks deeply to work out solution before starting programming. Indeed, he has a high faculty of inquiry."
East Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 is one of the genius training bases of the country.
Jo Ryong with an uncommon talent for mathematics entered East Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 after graduating from a primary school.
Attending the IT group of the school, he developed his talent under the guidance and help of teacher Ryo Chun Sil. And he worked hard to realize his dream to become number one programmer across the country as well as at the school.
He took the first place at the programming contest of the "National IT Successes Exhibition--2024" and also at the programming challenge contest "Trailblazer--2025" sponsored by Kim Chaek University of Technology.
And he was selected as the best programmer at the "National IT Successes Exhibition--2025".
Ryo Chun Sil said the finals participated in by 15 students were not easy, and continued:
"None of them succeeded in solving the last 7th problem which was the most difficult one. But Jo Ryong did not give up. With the will to solve it without fail, he thought deeply to find out a solution in various aspects, thus getting the highest marks.
His good brains and inexhaustible fighting spirit and efforts paid off and he became the best programmer in 2025 in the category of middle school children."
Jo Ryong is developing his talents to his heart's content without paying a penny under the benefits of the socialist education system. He has a high goal.
"This time I came first in the category of middle school children. When I go to university, I will took the first place in the category of university students and then in the category of IT experts. This is my dream and goal. I will do my best to attain it."
A seed which struck root in the fertile land will bear sound fruit.
