A foodstuff factory, a daily necessities factory and a garment factory were also built in Jangphung County of Kaesong.
Since Jangphung County is situated in the southernmost part of the country, material exchanges were not brisk. And since it is a mountain county, it has a small area of farmland and poor economic foundation.
But modern regional-industry factories have been built, actively promoting the economic development of the county and the improvement of the local people's living.
The foodstuff factory produces various kinds of bread and other foodstuffs including milk biscuits, starch jelly coated with perilla seeds, jujube juice and ginger sweets and basic foodstuffs. The garment factory produces clothes such as the "Okgusul"-trademarked padded clothes for peasants.
The daily necessities factory produces furniture, different sizes of plastic pipes, fragrant soap and colourful kitchenware.
The wonderful factories built in the county and all sorts of goods produced there evoke admiration of the local people.
