"Thank You Very Much"
"I am really grateful to the doctors who made my daughter Hyo Un laugh again and to our social system. So I tell her to work harder for this grateful social system."
This is what was said by Han Song Suk living in Ragwon-dong, Pothonggang District of Pyongyang.
Hyo Un is her 21-year-old daughter.
She was praised as an innovator in her work place and loved as the only daughter in her family. But she had a sudden mental agony in November last year. Several pimples on her face began to spread all over to the neck.
Han Song Suk told of her feelings at that time as follows:
"I felt sorry and heartrending to see my daughter wear a mask and walk with her head down for shame at the age when she should be cheerful. I wished I had suffered from the trouble instead."
Hyo Un received treatment at the Dermatopathy Prevention Department of the Pyongyang Municipal Koryo Medicine Hospital near her home.
The doctor in charge of her actively employed rational treatment tactics including antibiotic measures while applying the unique Koryo therapy completed at the department.
Not only her doctor but also all others in the department showed their sincerity to the girl. They sometimes travelled a long distance to get necessary Koryo medicinal materials and often told her humorous stories, saying she should laugh off her disease.
More than 20 days later, the pimples which had seemed to get worse were subdued and the wound began to skin over.  And the girl could leave the hospital in a month. The doctors and nurses were pleased over the girl's recovery as over their own.
Han Song Suk said she could not forget them all her life, and continued:
"At that time I was moved to tears and thanked the doctors time and again as they cured my daughter with all sincerity, regarding her pain as their own. But they unanimously said it was their duty. I don't know how to repay their devoted service."
It is said that the girl has received phone call almost every day since her discharge from the hospital, telling her what kind of medicines she should take, how to observe the rules about food and exercise and even how to use cosmetics.
Here is doctor Pu Hyon Hui who was in charge of Hyo Un.

"I had never seen such a serious case as Hyo Un. So I worried about her treatment. Reading the earnest desire from the eyes of her mother, however, I felt a strong sense of responsibility and thought that I should work harder not to disappoint her.
I started the treatment with an urge to devote all of my techniques to remove the pimples from the face of Hyo Un who is as good as my daughter."
Thanks to such love and affection, Hyo Un got back her cheerfulness.
