President of State Affairs Kim Jong Un gives banquet on Day of Navy
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave a banquet on the evening of August 27 on the occasion of the Day of the Navy of the Korean People's Army.
Invited to the banquet were the military and political officers of the Command of the Navy, the commanders of the east and west fleets of the Navy, the squadron leaders of the surface ships and submarines under them and the commanding officers of the special operation units.
Present on the occasion were Jo Yong Won and Ri Pyong Chol, Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other senior officials of the Party and the government.
Marshal of the KPA Pak Jong Chon made a speech at the banquet.
He touched with great excitement upon the love and affection of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un who paid a congratulatory visit to the Command of the Navy on the occasion of the significant Day of the Navy and infused the service personnel of the Navy with new spirit and strength of victory, spending the whole day with them.
He said the happy hours they can never forget all their lives represent the deep trust and expectation of Kim Jong Un who wants all the service personnel of the Navy to become patriotic generals and triumphant heroes boasted of by the country and people. He stressed that all the commanding officers should rise up to add eternal brilliance to their honour as the heroic death-defying corps and shock brigade of the Party Central Committee.
He courteously proposed toasting good health of Kim Jong Un who provided a firm guarantee for enabling the Navy to vigorously carry on the course of victory as a pivotal armed force and core service of the DPRK.
Kim Jong Un expressed deep thanks for it and talked to the dependable and presentable commanding officers of the Navy.
He said we should more purely and proudly carry forward the history of victory won in the fiercest confrontation with the hostile forces trying to usurp our national rights and prestige. When the seamen firmly defend the sacred territorial waters with their thorough spirit, the sea of the country will be calm and tranquil and all things on this land will shine as the immortal honour and priceless wealth, he added.
The banquet hall was wrapped in the world of the ties of kindred between the great brilliant commander and the backbone of the naval force sharing the intention, feelings and fate on the sacred road of building up a rich country with a strong army.
