4th Enlarged Meeting of 8th Central Military Commission of WPK held

The Fourth Enlarged Meeting of the Eighth Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea was held at the building of the headquarters of the Party Central Committee on February 6.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, guided the meeting.
Present at the meeting were Vice-Chairmen Ri Pyong Chol and Ri Yong Gil and members of the Central Military Commission of the WPK.
Also on hand as observers were the commanders of services and commanding officers of the corps and major units of the Korean People's Army, commanding personnel of the Ministry of National Defence and other armed forces organs, leading officials of defence science research institutions and senior officials of the departments concerned of the Party Central Committee including the Department of Munitions Industry.
The meeting seriously discussed major military and political tasks and prospective issues on the orientation of army building in 2023.
The meeting studied and discussed the issues on taking structural and organizational measures for fundamentally improving and strengthening the military affairs, on steadily expanding and intensifying the operational combat training of units of the People's Army and more strictly perfecting the war preparedness to cope with the prevailing situation and on newly amending some articles of the internal service regulations of the army to meet the demand of the developing reality and some other practical tasks to bring about a great change in the military and political work, and adopted relevant decisions.
Kim Jong Un expressed the belief that the entire armed forces of the Republic would deeply understand their sacred mission and heavy responsibility for the Party and revolution, country and people and perform great feats in further consolidating the historic victories won by the Korean people in the grandiose journey for the accomplishment of the socialist cause and firmly supporting and successfully carrying out with invincible military muscle the huge tasks of the Party for writing a new chapter of development in the history of building socialism of Juche.
Looking up to Kim Jong Un who convened an enlarged meeting of the Central Military Commission of the Party on the historic 60th anniversary of the slogan "a-match-for-a-hundred" put forward by the great leader Kim Il Sung, provided an important milestone for building a powerful army and clarified the orientation of the revolutionary military and political activities of the armed forces of the Republic, the commanding officers of the People's Army and all the participants made a firm resolve to fully discharge their important duty in the implementation of the Party's military policy.
