Meeting of reviewing state disaster prevention work held under guidance of President of State Affairs Kim Jong Un

A meeting of reviewing the state disaster prevention work was held in the capital city Pyongyang on September 4 and 5 to examine the general disaster prevention of the country and take decisive measures for strengthening the capacity to cope with crisis.
The respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, guided the meeting.
Present there were Kim Tok Hun, Jo Yong Won and Pak Jong Chon, Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, officials of the Party Central Committee, the Cabinet, commissions, ministries, national agencies and public security, judicial and procuratorial organs and leading officials of the provincial-level guidance organs, cities, counties and major industrial establishments.
Also on hand were commanding personnel of the Ministry of National Defence.
Kim Jong Un made an important speech.
He expressed the plan of the Party Central Committee on the direction of building the state capacity to cope with the crisis, saying that strengthening the capacity to prevent disaster is an important work for prosperity and development of the state and for defending the lives of the people and a crucial revolutionary task to put it ahead of all other work for the coming generations as well as for our generation.
He stressed once again that nothing is more important than the lives and safety of the people for the Party and the state whose main political idea is the people-first principle. And he clarified specific tasks and ways to raise the state disaster preventing capacity up to a new level at the shortest time.
Premier Kim Tok Hun made a report on facts, which was followed by speeches.
