President of State Affairs Kim Jong Un looks round residential quarters built in Kyongru-dong

The respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, looked round the residential quarters of terrace houses along the River Pothong built in Kyongru-dong in Central District.
He was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and Secretary for Organizational Affairs of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other senior officials of the Party Central Committee.
The residential quarters of terrace houses built in a peculiar style in Kyongru-dong is a cradle of life provided by Kim Jong Un for the labor innovators and meritorious persons in different fields, scientists, educators, writers, journalists and other working people who are working devotedly for the Party and the state.
Looking round the residential quarters for a long time, Kim Jong Un said the builders did a good job for the implementation of the decision of the Party for the past one year, true to the construction policy of the Party. He noted that a model of construction of residential quarters of new style which thoroughly applied the architectural aesthetic idea of the Party and is perfectly combined with modernity and conveniences was created in the centre of the capital thanks to the intense loyalty and devoted efforts of the constructors. The Party Central Committee is greatly satisfied with it, he added.
He stressed time and again that the experiences gained in the construction of the residential quarters in Kyongru-dong are of great significance in carrying out the immediate tasks for central and rural construction put forward by the Party under the goal of building many dwelling houses on a nationwide scale.
He said the designing organs at all levels in central and rural areas should widely introduce the standard, successes and experiences gained in such architectural and cityscape designing and make efforts to further develop the level of designing theory in every field in accordance with the daily increasing demand of the people.
Kim Jong Un said the designing and educational institutions at all levels should, in particular, deeply study the world level of the cityscape designing, introduce the standard and method of afforestation in accordance with the conditions of our country and pay attention to taking decisive measures for establishing and developing in an original way the theory of cityscape designing of Korean style.
He stressed the need for the units concerned including the urban management sector and the designing institutions to give scientific and theoretical precedence to the landscape designing for improving the environments of the capital and provincial, city and county seats across the country and take strong measures to develop afforestation in keeping with the natural and geographical features of the regions concerned and trend of the times.
Noting that the work of the construction sector is an important political work to increase the overall power of the country and lead the people to the socialist civilization of Korean style, he gave important instructions on the strategy for development of Juche-oriented architecture.
Kim Jong Un looked round the interior of the dwelling houses of different forms for a long time, acquainting himself with the construction.
He was very pleased over the fact that more excellent dwelling houses could be given again to the working people, saying that the interior of the flats were built well to the convenience of family life of the residents.
Kim Jong Un gave the task to convey the entrance certificates to the households selected from all domains and hold its inaugural ceremony in a significant way before the Day of the Sun.
