National meeting held to celebrate 80th birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il

A national meeting was held in front of the bronze statue of the great leader Kim Jong Il in Samjiyon City, a sacred land of revolution, on February 15, to celebrate the 80th birth anniversary of the great leader Kim Jong Il.
The respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, was present at the meeting.
When Kim Jong Un came out, all the participants raised enthusiastic cheers for him.
A floral basket presented by Kim Jong Un was laid at the bronze statue of the great leader Kim Jong Il.
Floral baskets were placed in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
Kim Jong Un, together with leading officials of the Party and the government, paid respects to the bronze statue of the great leader Kim Jong Il, eternal sun of Juche, noble image of socialist Korea and great sage of revolution.
Present at the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and President of the Standing Committee of the SPA, Jo Yong Won, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and Secretary for Organizational Affairs of the Central Committee of the WPK, and Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK.
Attending it were leading officials of the Party and the state, senior officials of ministries and national agencies, officials and working people in Ryanggang Province and Samjiyon City and commanding officers and shock brigaders of Division 216.
Also present there were senior officials of the armed forces organs and men and officers of the Korean People's Army and the Public Security Force.
Ri Il Hwan, Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, made a report "Let us bring to completion the cause of great Kim Jong Il in the revolutionary spirit of the Paektu".
The reporter said:
The entire people across the country who greeted the greatest auspicious holiday of the nation on the road of historic drive vigorously advancing toward the overall development of socialist construction of Korean style are thinking of the most proud era in the five-thousand-year-long history of the nation which they have brought about with the revolutionary legacy left by Kim Jong Il as a stepping stone, holding high his undying august name as the red flag of revolution. They are also feeling with emotion the profound weight and significance kept by February of Korea.
The reporter mentioned the noble revolutionary career of peerlessly great man started from his extraordinary birth and unusual growth unprecedented in the world. He highly praised the immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il who implanted the soul of self-respect in the Korean people and laid the most important assets for building a powerful country which can not be bartered for all valuables.
Invincible is the cause with a great idea and heritage, the reporter stressed. He called on all Party members, the entire people and service personnel of the People's Army to support the leadership of the Party Central Committee headed by great Kim Jong Un with ardent loyalty and resolute revolutionary practice and thus build socialist Korea, the precious crystallization of the life-long pains-taking efforts and devotion of Kim Jong Il, into a developed and civilized thriving country envied by the whole world.
The national meeting was held amid firm will and passion of the participants to carry forward to completion the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered on Mt.Paektu, build a people's paradise prospering by its own strength on this land and glorify the new century of the Korean revolution as years of victory and glory, firmly rallied behind the respected Kim Jong Un.
