Tradition of Victory Glorified

In the 1950s the Korean people repulsed the aggression of the US-led imperialist allied forces and won a great victory under the wise leadership of the great leader Kim Il Sung.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, in a number of his works, stressed the need to remember the immortal exploits performed by Kim Il Sung for victory in the war and the heroic fighting spirit of the victorious wartime generation and glorify them for all ages.

Inaugural ceremonies of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery were held in July 2013 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
Kim Jong Un chose their sites on the spot and visited the construction sites several times to lead all the elements to be completed on the highest level.
He wrote his autograph "Respects to the Great Years" at the Sculpture "Victory" standing in the middle of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum.

And he ensured that the museum was built into a wonderful centre telling forever the Juche-oriented military idea and anti-imperialist revolutionary exploits of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and educating the rising generations in the heroic fighting spirit displayed by the victorious wartime generation.

Calling at the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery several times on the occasion of the V-Day, Kim Jong Un emphasized that the people, service personnel of the People's Army and the new generations should keep the spirit of defending the country and mass heroism displayed in the 1950s as a valuable ideological and spiritual wealth and carry them forward generation after generation.
He saw that it was made a tradition to invite the representatives of war veterans to Pyongyang and significantly celebrate the V-Day every year.

He put forward the victorious wartime generation as the most heroic generation who consolidated the firm foundation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea even in the tempest of history and as the great models of the indomitable Korean people.

Taking part in national conferences of war veterans on several occasions, he highly appreciated the distinguished feats performed by the victorious wartime generation and the spiritual wealth and legacy left by them to the posterity.
And he stressed that the valuable ideological and spiritual wealth of the victorious wartime generation should be a nutrient of true life and struggle of the entire people, service personnel of the People's Army and new generations.
A lot of songs in praise of victory in the war were created under his meticulous guidance, including "July 27 March", "Festival of the Great War Victory", "Tell, Fireworks Display for the War Victory" and "Honour to the Victors in the Great Years" which were awarded the 60th Anniversary of Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War Order. Those famous songs infuse the people with great pride of being the descendants of the great victorious wartime generation.

Colourful events including performance in celebration of the V-Day are held in a peculiar way in the DPRK every year.
The history and tradition of great war victory go on under the guidance of the great leader.
