Greatest Achievement

The great leader Kim Il Sung is a peerlessly great man the Korean people acclaimed and held in high esteem for the first time in their thousands of-year-long history.
He built the Democratic People's Republic of Korea into an advantageous people-centred socialist society and rendered distinguished services to accomplishing the cause of global independence.
The greatest of his exploits in his lifetime is the brilliant solution of the issue of carrying forward the revolutionary cause.
Kim Il Sung regarded the continuity of the revolutionary cause not as a simple issue of handing over the position of leadership at the time of change of the generation of revolution, but as an important issue of deciding the future destiny of the country and revolution.
He let the great leader Kim Jong Il work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the supreme general staff of the Korean revolution, after graduating from Kim Il Sung University.
He always found himself with Kim Jong Il on the road of his revolutionary leadership to vigorously lead socialism of Korean style.

One day, he said that everything goes well in our country as Kim Jong Il wisely leads the whole affairs of the Party and the state from long ago and that he feels at ease as the latter leads the revolution and construction skilfully with his extraordinary leadership ability.
On July 6, 1994, the last period of his life, Kim Il Sung said to officials that the happiness of the people, the prosperity of the country and the accomplishment of the socialist cause depend on Kim Jong Il and requested them again to support him well to the end with revolutionary faith and pure obligation.
Kim Jong Il who was leading the whole affairs of the Party and the state with his extraordinary activities was appointed to be Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army on December 24, 1991, and elected General Secretary of the WPK on October 8, 1997, according to the unanimous will of the Korean people.
Kim Il Sung solved the issue of carrying forward the revolutionary cause with success and thus opened a bright future of the country and people and his exploits will shine for all ages.
