Some years ago, there was a pupil who failed to get familiar with school life at the class under the charge of a girl teacher.
He was not bright as he grew under the care of a widower. Principal Choe Yong Ae brought him to her house and took care of him so that he could settle down in the school life.
Feeling her warm maternal love, the pupil studied hard and entered a university.
A small box can be seen in every classroom of the school.
The box contains different colours of cloth, needles and threads, buttons and so on necessary for repairing school uniforms.
The small box was made at the proposal of Principal Choe Yong Ae, which represents her love for the pupils.
Teachers of the school prepared such boxes in their classrooms to care about the dress of the pupils.
She says:
"Love for one's occupation gives rise to love for one's workplace and love for one's workplace to devoted work. Furthermore, we are the educators bringing up the future of the country. Working hard for the prosperity of the country at our workplace is patriotism, I think."
Principal Choe Yong Ae was awarded the title of People's Teacher in 2012 and the title of Meritorious Person of Socialist Patriotism in 2017.
