Answer: "About the New Projects Included in the 'Regional Development 20×10 Policy'"
The Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea held in December 2024 discussed and decided on the issue of formally including in the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy" the construction of additional three essential projects in parallel with that of regional-industry factories.The three essential projects are public health facilities, scientific, educational and leisure facilities, and grain management facilities.
With the completion of the Kangdong County, Ryonggang County and Kusong City hospitals, precious experiences have been accumulated to expand the building of public health facilities in regions on a full scale in the future.
Leisure complexes with various service conditions have been wonderfully built into mass centres for cultural life in Kangdong and Jongphyong counties and Kaephung District.
At present, the construction of hospitals and leisure complexes is powerfully promoted in 20 cities and counties, which should be built this year according to the regional development policy. And the Hwangju County Grain Management Station is being wonderfully built into another model entity of regional transformation in North Hwanghae Province.
