DPRK Premier inspects Chollima Steel Complex and farms in Mangyongdae District
Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of the Chollima Steel Complex and farms in Mangyongdae District.
Looking round different places of the Chollima Steel Complex seething with the struggle for iron and steel production to complete the five-year plan successfully, he learned about the current steel production and the promotion of the projects according to the plan of readjustment and reinforcement and took necessary measures.
The consultative meeting held on the spot discussed issues on supplying raw and other materials needed for the iron and steel production fully and in time and making the officials work with scientific insight as well as clear target for production growth.
At the Mangyongdae Vegetable Farm in Mangyongdae District of Pyongyang, Premier Pak Thae Song acquainted himself with the introduction of new cultivating methods and techniques such as superior wheat transplantation of Korean style and touched on actively generalizing their success and experience and directing efforts to the immediate manuring and cultivation to bring about good results.
He visited the Chilgol Vegetable Farm which has introduced on trial the green cultivation and fish breeding method the Party considers to be important at present and stressed the need to prove the economic effectiveness of fish farming in paddy fields.
