Receptions given in celebration of V-Day
Receptions were given at the People's Palace of Culture and the Okryu Restaurant in Pyongyang on the 27th in celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
Invited to the receptions were war veterans and persons of wartime merits participating in the V-Day celebrations.
Participating together with them were Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and other senior officials of the Party and the government and leading officials of the armed forces organs.
Addressing the receptions, speakers sent warm congratulations and greetings to the war veterans and persons of wartime merits, grateful benefactors and valuable revolutionary seniors who provided the firm foundation for making the beloved motherland--the DPRK strong and prosperous forever and handed it down to them, representing the reverence and respect of the people across the country.
Our dignity and victory become more sublimate and great as the descendants on this land are firmly carrying forward the noble ideology and spirit of the victorious wartime generation, they said and stressed that as the annual rings of victory increase and we go closer to the ideal and target of prosperity, we will always remember the victorious wartime generation and win victory by fighting with the spirit and mettle of the great years and the history and tradition of victory of the DPRK will be firmly inherited.
