Opening address made at First Session of 15th SPA of DPRK

Deputy Ko Kil Son, Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, made an opening address at the First Session of the 15th SPA.
In the opening address, he paid the noblest tribute to the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who laid a firm foundation of our great state and gave the vitality of everlasting development representing the unanimous minds of the entire people and service personnel of the People's Army across the country.
He noted that the past seven years since the First Session of the 14th SPA are shining as a proud chronicle when a new turning point was made in all spheres by thoroughly applying the revolutionary line of independence and the people-first principle in the whole of state building and activities.
He said administrative policies of strategic significance in the existence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and its strengthening and development were put forward and fundamental changes brought about in the state power activities thanks to the unusual wisdom and extraordinary political ability of Comrade Kim Jong Un, and continued:
Indeed, the new era of national prosperity unfolded by Kim Jong Un is an unprecedented era of prosperity surpassing all the records and precedents in the history of the DPRK in view of the height of creation and standard, in view of the range of domains of struggle and the depth of transformation, and in view of the speed of the advance.
The session of the SPA will discuss and decide on important agenda items such as the crucial work of electing the head of state, the organization of a new government and the thorough implementation of the new five-year plan for national economic development.
He mentioned the constitution of the deputies elected at the elections of deputies to the 15th SPA and the participation of the deputies and observers in the session, and declared the First Session of the 15th SPA of the DPRK open.
