Premier inspects different units of national economy
Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected various sectors of the national economy.
Going round different workshops of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, he underscored the need for the officials to push ahead with the readjustment and reinforcement projects as planned and introduce rational iron-making methods to increase the production of iron and steel and improve their quality.
He learned about the situation of preceding wheat and barley at the Sinhung and Taesong farms in Singye County, the Sokgyo Farm in Suan County and other farms in North Hwanghae Province and stressed the need to set the right time for harvest and make full preparations for harvesting in time.
At the Taean Friendship Glass Factory, the Premier acquainted himself with the repair of the glass melting furnace and discussed and took technical and practical measures for ensuring the normal operation of the furnace.
At the construction site of the Taephung Additive Factory and the Pyongyang Poultry Equipment Factory, he stressed the need to accelerate the construction and reconstruction of the factories in order to fully produce and supply feed additives and breeding equipment necessary for increasing poultry production.
Earlier, he met scientists and officials of the Advanced Agricultural Technology Exchange Company under the Academy of Agricultural Science and exchanged views on the scientific researches into agriculture and the latest achievements made in agricultural science and technology.
