DPRK Premier makes field survey of different sectors of South and North Hamgyong provinces
Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the
Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the
Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field
survey of different sectors of South and North Hamgyong provinces.
At the Ryongsong Machine Complex, he said the officials, technicians and workers should bring about fresh innovations in the production of major ordered equipment.
At the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex and the February 8 Vinalon Complex, he stressed the need to make an effective use of present capacity to raise the productivity of fertilizer and basic chemical goods, and actively promote the work to create the production capacity of slow-acting fertilizer and perfect the melamine resin production process and thus make a contribution to boosting the agricultural production and improving the people's living standards.
Looking round Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, he underscored the need to increase the Juche iron production by raising the operation rate of the energy-saving oxygen-blast furnace and dynamically conduct the mass technical innovation movement for reducing the fuel consumption.
After acquainting himself in detail with the production of the Chongjin Steel Works and the Chongjin Chemical Fibre Mill and the work to carry out their plans for readjustment and reinforcement, he underlined the need to introduce reasonable production methods to produce a larger quantity of good-quality iron trioxide and textile goods.
