The prospecting tunneling is intensified at the Samnok Coal Mine under the Kaechon Area Coal-Mining Complex. The coal mine has raised the utility rate of equipment and introduced advanced blasting methods to speed up the progress of driving cycle through sequence drilling and blasting.
Undertakings are promoted to develop new pits and new areas at the Thaesan Coal Mine and Youth Pit No. 2 of the Ryongbuk Youth Coal Mine under the Kyongwon Area Coal-Mining Complex and to build a general inclined shaft at the Anju Area Coal-Mining Complex.
