The New Year's cards came from the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China and his wife, the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, the President of Mongolia, the President of the Republic of Tadzhikistan, the President of Turkmenistan and the President of the Republic of Belarus.
They also came from the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the National Secretary of the Socialist Workers Party of America, the Director General of the UN Secretariat in Vienna and the President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
