A motion of impeachment against puppet Yoon Suk Yeol was approved in the Republic of Korea on the 14th.
That day a vote took place in the National Assembly on the impeachment motion brought up for the second time by assemblymen from opposition parties, which was passed with 204 in favour to 85 against.
Earlier on the 7th, there was held the first vote on the impeachment motion but it ended up in failure as the assemblymen from the "People Power Party" walked out of the polling place en masse.
Protest actions were further intensified across the country including Seoul to denounce and impeach puppet Yoon Suk Yeol who totally denied the crimes he had committed during his assumption to power and his accomplices. A lot of members of the "People Power Party" got disillusioned at its shameful conduct and left the party in groups, aggravating the split within the ruling party.
As the impeachment motion was approved in the vote on the 14th, the authority of Yoon Suk Yeol as president was suspended.
The Constitutional Court will finally decide on the impeachment in the future.
Meanwhile, the Minister of National Defence, the Chief of the National Police Agency and the Chief of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency were reportedly confined, the Army Chief of Staff who was appointed as the martial law commander, the Counter-Intelligence Commander of the ROK Army, the Special Operation Forces Commander and the Intelligence Commander suspended from their duties, the Capital Garrison Commander arrested, and the investigation into Yoon Suk Yeol, the chieftain of rebellion, and his accomplices is intensified.
