Protest actions staged in ROK in demand of puppet Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment
On the evening of December 3 Yoon Suk Yeol proclaimed an emergency martial law in a bid to escape from the worst ruling crisis and mobilized a number of helicopters and heavily armed martial law troops including gangsters under the special operation forces command of the army to blockade the national assembly building.
As the resolution in demand of lifting the emergency martial law was passed at the urgently-called session of the National Assembly, however, Yoon had to lift the martial law only in six hours after its proclamation.
The Minju Party and other opposition parties immediately prosecuted Yoon Suk Yeol and others concerned--the Minister of National Defense and the Minister of Administration and Security Affairs for their rebellion and proclaimed the acceleration of their impeachment.
On the 5th, 191 members of the Minju Party and other opposition parties and independent assemblymen made a proposal for impeachment.
But since the members of the "People's Strength", which regards it as its view to oppose impeachment, left the venue of the session en masse, the proposal for impeachment of Yoon Suk Yeol was nullified without opening a ballot box due to the deficient number of voters.
When the news was reported, the whole of the Republic of Korea as well as the surroundings of the puppet National Assembly was turned into a place of all-people protest.
One million people marched to enclose the National Assembly building.
They made public a statement making clear their stand, stressing that they will continue to fight until Yoon Suk Yeol is kept from performing his duties, resigned and punished.
The 118th candlelight rally and demonstration took place in Seoul on the 7th and candlelight protests in Seoul and other parts of the country on the 8th, the 9th and the 10th.
The international community is seriously watching the Republic of Korea, commentating that the emergency martial law and impeachment rackets reveal its vulnerability.
