Reception given for champions of 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup
The Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea gave a reception at the Okryu Restaurant on October 2 in honour of the women's football team which came first in the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
Present at the reception were Premier Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and Chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Kim Il Guk, Secretary of the Football Association Sin Yong Chol, players and coaches of the women's football team, their families and officials in the sports and relevant sectors.
Kim Tok Hun made a congratulatory address.
He warmly congratulated the girl footballers and coaches who added vitality to the advance of the country making a new turning point of the comprehensive national development by shaking the world women's football circles and winning a trophy cup after achieving signal victories one after another in the championships.
He expressed the belief that the players, who displayed a bright prospect of the women's football, would firmly hold the Asian and world championship titles and win victories in the international games in the future, too.
In her return speech, player Choe Il Son resolved to train hard with patriotism and thus achieve better successes in the international games.
