Requests by Audience and 2025
This year we posted many programs, videos in the main, on this section at the request of the audience.
At this point of time winding up the year 2025, we are going to recollect the requests made by the audience and the programs we posted in response to them.
A large proportion of the requests was about the history and cultural traditions of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
The video program "Sinsollo, a National Food of Korea" was posted in April at the request of Tanner Rogers of the United States and other friends who are interested in the Korean national foods.

Perhaps the audience got to know well about the peculiar national food of Korea.
The video program "My Pride--'Artist of Korean Painting'" was posted in August at the request of Sarah Medeiros of Brazil.
It showed the activities of an artist of Korean painting who is fully displaying the features of the DPRK and its people all over the world by making the best use of excellent techniques of Korean painting with a long historical tradition.

Through the program, the audience must have had a good understanding of the will of the Korean artists to add brilliance to the peculiarity and appeal of Korean painting and the excellent traditions of the Korean people.

The children in the photo are young talents from the video program "Pride in Having Trained Talented Young Janggu Players" made at the request of Akira Hoshino of Japan.
In the program posted in November, the audience must have seen the children wonderfully playing Janggu, a national musical instrument of Korea.
Other video programs including "The Sights of Mt. Chilbo" (September) introducing a scenic spot in the DPRK and "The People We Met" (January) showing the New Year celebration of the Korean people promoted the viewers' understanding of the history and cultural traditions of Korea.
Mietek Kuzuniak of Poland wrote to us that he wanted to visit the DPRK in the future to experience the beauty of the capital city Pyongyang, and many other friends requested us to introduce the changes in Pyongyang.
In response to their requests, we posted the video programs such as "Pyongyang Changes Beautifully" (February), "We Were Attracted by New Streets in Pyongyang" (May), "Night View of New Streets in Pyongyang" (June) and "Bank of the Pothong River Seen from an Excursion Ship" (September).

The viewers said that seeing the changes in Pyongyang, they felt the very fast progress of socialist Korea.
Here is an e-mail sent by Ruben Zepeda Azcano of Mexico.
"In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, all the children receive a high level of education and the parents never worry about how to afford their children's learning.
  I really envy them."
Not only Ruben Zepeda Azcano but many other people of the world expressed their great interest in the life of the Korean children.
Through the video program "Young Talents Are Growing" posted in May, the audience must have seen the Korean children develop their talents under the benefits of the state.

We also posted "'Serious Incident' at Okryu Children's Hospital" (September), "What Happened at the Tongsin Railway Station?" (November) and other video programs showing that the supply of dairy products to the children is a state affair which should not be interrupted even a day. They greatly moved the audience.
In 2024, Korean sportspeople achieved remarkable successes at international games of different events including women's football, weightlifting, table tennis, boxing and Taekwon-Do, surprising the world sports circles and many amateurs and exciting their admiration.
It was led to requests of the audience in 2025.
So we posted on this section video programs including "Impressive Goals and Third World Cup" (February) and "Sports Coaches Who Trained Victors" (March) as well as the video program "Pride of Supporting Victory" (March) introducing the people who find their pride in making uniforms of the players for international games.

They showed the spirit and mettle of the Korean people to demonstrate the dignity and honour of the state through victories in sports games.
And the video programs such as "Old Inventors" (October) and "A Well-Known Schoolchildren's Brass Band" (April) dealt with Koreans devoting their patriotic mind to the development of the country and well-being of the people. They appealed to the audience a lot.
We posted not only video programs but also lots of songs at the request of the audience.
Typical songs and requesters are "Dear Father" (Noni of Croatia), "Ardent Wish" (Myranda Hawthorne of the United Kingdom), "A Soldier's Wish" (Tanner Rogers of the United States), "I Love My Home Village" (Shigehiko Gobayashi of Japan), "We Are Masters of the Farm" (Max Lesterhuis of the Netherlands), "Along with the Years of War Victory" (Melissza Arany-Horvath of Hungary), "Song about the Motherland" (Dillon of the United States), "My Country Is the Best" (Nguyen Viet Dung of Viet Nam) and "The Feature of Korea" (Constance Quelch of the United Kingdom).
As said above, 2025 was a year of continuous requests by the audience who want to know about the DPRK in an all-round way and a continuation of the days when the Voice of Korea faithfully responded to their requests.
The Voice of Korea will always receive the requests of the audience with pleasure and make sincere efforts.
  Thank you.
