The Central Zoo and the Natural History Museum at the foot of the picturesque Mt. Taesong draw a lot of working people and school youth and children.
The Central Zoo is improving service conditions for the convenience of the visitors and breeding animals in a scientific way to increase their number.
It is said that this year more than 100 species of animals have brought forth over 600 youngs including three Korean tiger cubs born in early June, diversifying and enriching the animal world of the Central Zoo.
The wild beasts' house, aquarium, reptiles' house and seal feat house are visited by people most.
The Natural History Museum with a total floor space of over 35,000 square metres is a peculiar base for disseminating a comprehensive knowledge of the history of the earth, the origin of life and living things and a cultural recreation resort.

Guide Kim Hyo Sim said thousands of school youth and children visit the Natural History Museum a day, and continued:
"The working people and school youth and children like most the dinosaur park which shows the dinosaurs of the Mesozoic age in combination with the then natural environment and the children's study and experience room. In this room, children widen their common knowledge of the sea and fish while drawing pictures by virtual reality experience."
This year the museum newly exhibited different species of stuffed rare animals and over 60 kinds of specimens and supplemented a lot of new common sense to the computers on every floor, so that the visitors can have a full understanding and comprehensive knowledge of the nature including the universe and the propagation of animals.
Hearing the happy laughter at the foot of Mt. Taesong, everyone feels the gratitude to the Workers' Party of Korea that provided the people with the wonderful bases for cultural and leisure activities.
