Gratitude

Samjiyon is a mountain city in the northern part of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

There are low- and multi-storey apartment houses and public buildings, spacious roads, and white birch, larch and other roadside trees adding beauty to the streets.

The local people feel grateful to the benevolence of the Workers' Party of Korea which built the city of Samjiyon into a model of socialist cultured mountain towns.
However, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, paid respects to the people.

When he visited the construction site of the township area of the then Samjiyon County in early April 2019, he said: Whenever I see Samjiyon County changing into a model of city formation in the mountainous region, I keenly feel the loyalty of our people. It is the people across the country that we should be really grateful and make a deep bow to. Samjiyon County could be changed like today because the shock-brigaders from across the country worked hard with loyalty and the people throughout the country gave material aid and moral support to it. The face-lifted Samjiyou County is a crystallization of loyalty of our people.

The leader and the people are grateful to each other. The leader loves the people and the people support the leader with loyalty. Herein lies the single-minded unity peculiar to the DPRK.
