Like Flow of Water
There is the Ssuk Islet on the Taedong River flowing through the capital city of Pyongyang. Since the Sci-Tech Complex was built there, it has been called an islet of science.
The Sci-Tech Complex with a total floor space of over 106,600 square metres was inaugurated on January 1, 2016.

On February 26, 2015 when it was under construction, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said the Sci-Tech Complex should become a temple where not only the scientists and technicians but also all other people can learn to their heart's content and a centre for disseminating advanced science and technology and that it should be a dissemination base for incessantly circulating scientific and technological information, not be like a pond.
The next year, he stated that a nationwide dissemination network should be established centring on the Sci-Tech Complex so that new scientific and technological information flows from the centre to the lowest level.

Now the complex keeps in a comprehensive and systematic way the data on latest sci-tech achievements and advanced sci-tech data as well as books of science and technology published in the past.
More than 10,000 sci-tech learning spaces have been registered at the Sci-Tech Complex. This year alone, a lot of visitors to them have read millions of items of sci-tech data of the complex.
At present, new scientific and technological information is disseminated like flow of water in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea through the nationwide network centring on the Sci-Tech Complex.
