Popular Biological Agrochemicals
Active efforts are made in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to mass-produce highly effective biological agrochemicals in an industrial way and research and develop more efficacious agrochemicals so as to increase the grain production.

The Pyongyang Academy of Biotechnology has been made germ- and dust-free and robotized on a high level and established even the production technology monopolized only by a few developed countries in the world, laying a foundation for mass-producing the biological agrochemicals in an industrial way.
  Director So Hak Chol says:
"What is most difficult in the agricultural field at present is the incidence of harmful insects of different kinds with resistance to agrochemicals. So the effectiveness gets weak in the use of agrochemicals. To solve this problem, we researched raw materials for the production of agrochemicals including auxiliary agents by domestic raw materials and thus developed new agrochemicals twice as high as last year in the insecticidal effect."
The national dignity, patriotism and confidence to outrival others in the sci-tech competition gave them new idea and enthusiasm, which enabled them to make new research findings.

The biological agrochemicals developed by the academy are popular among those units that introduced them as they have no effect on the human body, soil and ecological environment but they are highly effective.
The researchers of the academy are working hard to increase the output of the biological agrochemicals while lowering their production costs and thus lay a more solid foundation so as to meet the national demand for them.
