A Factory Benefiting from Recycling
Officials and employees of the Pyongyang Taesong Tyre Factory are revitalizing production by actively tapping the internal reserves and potentialities by dint of science and technology.
At present, the factory reclaims arisings and waste rubber to produce different kinds of tyres for vehicles.
In the past the factory set it as its basic way of revitalized production to lower the costs and ensure the quality. For the purpose, the officials intensified collective discussion and study while strengthening sci-tech force to solve technical issues arising in the recycling. In the course, the technicians of the factory established desulphurization process of reclaimed rubber needed for production of parts of tyres by using by-products coming from the polishing of the products.
Thanks to the creative enthusiasm and activity of the workers and technicians, rubber mixer, press and other pieces of equipment were manufactured and a new shovel tyre production process built. As a result, a solid foundation was laid to make different kinds of tyres even with recycled materials.

The recycled tyres produced at the factory are popular among users for their cheap cost and good quality.
Now the officials, workers and technicians of the factory are putting spurs to expanding the variety of tyres and improving their quality in order to implement the decisions of the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
