We Are the Happiest in the World
  November 20 this year marks the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  Of the international conventions on human rights, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child has got the largest number of signatories.
  In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the children are treasured as kings of the country and the work for the rising generations is considered to be important.
  Orphans are brought up at the baby homes, orphanages and schools for orphans at the state expense.











  The universal 12-year compulsory education is enforced free of charge.











  Schoolchildren's palaces and Children's Union camps have been wonderfully built across the country for their extracurricular activities.











  The Third Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was held in June Juche 110(2021).
  The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK, stressed that no revolutionary work is more important than bringing up the children, the future of the country, healthily and it is the most important policy and supreme desire of the Party and the state to provide better conditions for their upbringing even at a great cost.



  - We should not calculate any work for the children in terms of money.
  - All our work is for the children, the future of the country, from the beginning to the end.
  Such demand and will run through all the policies for the children's rights and all the measures for their implementation.
  Under the grateful socialist system which realizes all dreams and hopes of the children, the song "We Are the Happiest in the World" will be sung in this country forever.
